2nd Workshop and Cadaver Lab on Transoral Thyroidectomy  – TOETVA

Agenda November 14th-15th 2019 – Barcelona

AIM

Throughout this two-day course, you will learn how to perform TOETVA, tips & tricks, indications and management of potential complications.

INTRODUCTION

Endocrine surgery is continuously evolving and new approaches have been presented in order to perform a safe thyroidectomy with the best cosmetic result.
TOETVA approaches the thyroid and central neck compartment bilaterally through a natural orifice, following the shortest way and without leaving no visible scar behind.

However, as a new approach, TOETVA brings new complications related to the port of entry that we must aware.

Although early results are promising, an appropriate patient selection and self-criticism are mandatory in order to make of TOETVA a standard procedure in endocrine surgery.

Here we present you a course based on theoretical lectures, live surgery and a «hands-on» on cadaver-lab.

We would be happy to share our experience with surgeons that, as we do, also think there could always be «something else» to be offered to our patients.
